Heligoland is pretty damn good, but it will in no way satisfy anyone who wanted a Massive Attack album that was either 1.)A continuation of the more experimental direction of 100th Window or 2.) a return so something more along the lines of Protection.

That said, though, it's a pretty outstanding piece of work and I really enjoy how almost every track has a unique touch to it. The most obvious disappointments, though, are Horace Andy on only two tracks (this one being his star track) and Grant Marshall on only one.

If it's a halfway point between Protection and 100th Window, that would be absolutely fine with me (what with that sort of describing Mezzanine, even if the new one is nothing like Mezzanine either). I await with baited breath.

Stopheles- you can stream the whole thing here (along with some other upcoming releases like the new Hot Chip, Gil Scott-Heron and Yeasayer albums):

Worth bookmarking, they update frequently and as far as I'm aware it's 100% legal.

This? Better than Pray for Rain? But Horace Andy's name isn't anywhere near as fun to say as Tunde Adebimpe's.
