The 680x0 instruction set (based somewhat on PDP & VAX) is far more sensible and usable than the kludged up and bizarre x86, which seems to have been based on confusion and hate for developers.
You know, I used to miss the Amiga too. Then I recently agreed to be interviewed by some guys for work I did a million years ago so I got out my old 1200 and recovered all the data and got it working under emulation.
All of my nostalgia died when I had to debug the startup-sequence file.
A friend of mine used to work at a public access TV channel back in '01 or 02' and they were still using an Amiga to do the graphics for schedule bumps and titles and the like. Or so he said.
I worked with public access in '98, the local cable station's studio ran on an Amiga and they had no plans to change it in the 00's because it does the job.
It's cute, sometimes when you're flipping past the community bulletin board channels you see a GURU error
