It turns out Histeria is kind of lame.

I don't expect cartoons to be factually accurate and it's very rare that when they try to be factual that they succeed. This is not one of those times.

This show was suppose to get kids into history, i doubt it achieved that.

This was the show that came after Freakazoid? Ugh.

There's a fine line between animators saying "I want to do an interesting cartoon" and "look how clever I am!" As with most Spielberg cartoons of the 90s, this falls into the second category.

Before someone points out that this is a childrens' cartoon, please note that they put in plenty of material that can't possibly have been geared to the crowd born after 1986. In fact there is nothing in this cartoon that would have been of interest to a ten-year-old, so no matter how you slice it, it's a fail.

I was recently talking to someone born in 1981, who was watching an old Beatles cartoon (http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=67885), and was wondering whether the same person did the voice of both Ringo and Wacko Warner. She had no idea that Wacko's voice was patterned after Ringo's, but really, how would she have known that? John Lennon died before she was even born.

I am one starring this because it's not enjoyable on any level. It's not educational, and it's not funny. It's trying to exploit the desperate need to market those two things combined to kids and it failed at both, miserably.

Histeria had some good moments, but this isn't one of them.
