Yeah, but the allegations weren't in the public eye until much later. KITH ended in 1995, when this was getting the major attention, so it's a push if that was a reference or not to it depending on when this ep came out.
KITH ended several sketches with a "tickets to a leafs game" line. It was always a (secret) reference to gay sex.
There is also another skit with this same character actually bringing someone home from a Leafs game.
It's hard to take an angry mob seriously when Kevin McDonald is in it.
A rather unusual coda to the "Dave Foley's teenager/stoner character is gay" plot arc, especially after the high water mark of "F'in Good Ham".
