Personal LJ: My college roommate's mom was Gordan Gano's girlfriend back in high school. She wouldn't fuck him. Thus: the Violent Femmes' first album. Apparently Gano used to come to school in his bathrobe and smoke pot in the restrooms.

I remember this show differently. Did it stop being a cheap 70s style show and turn into a cheap 90s show at some point?

He looks like a cross between Danzig and Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley.

I remember seeing the Violent Femmes in Seattle in 1999. I was cross, because I was there with a girl I was trying to get with, but the dude she liked was also there and so it was a love triangle. "there goes your man" has a distinct ring for me because of this.

Irrespective of that story, this clip is amazing. 5 stars.
