Reminds me a lot of the Mega Man DOS game I used to play when I was a kid. Still better than the first TMNT game on the NES though, some how!

Sweet. Believe it or not, this wasn't bad at all. I played the hell out of it when it came out.

-1 because Krang turning into three Shredders when he dies is not canon.

Wow, that's just lazy. They probably had more room for music than the NES guys did.
Incidentally I'd say the NES port is even better than the coin-op. Better controls, and it even had more levels.

Potrod - 2010-03-07 I prefer the NES music over the arcade music, too. It's the same tunes, but the arcade version somehow manages to sound tinny and lame in comparison. Some awesome music, at any rate, which makes this all the more embarrassing.

fluffy - 2010-03-07 At one time, Konami really knew how to bring it with chip music.
Hell, my favorite version of Beatmania is the original GameBoy one. It is basically Beatmania 2ndMix Chiptune Edition, and it is fucking sweet.

Sword sound effects by a cat batting at a piece of paper.

MrBuddy - 2010-03-07 The music is on a 12 second loop.

That was the most unsettling end-game narrative ever.

I beat this in the arcade with my little brother. I don't regret the or so in quarters this cost me.

Virtually identical gameplay to The Simpsons Arcade Game, which is, without reproach or possible denial, the greatest arcade machine in history.

HankFinch - 2010-03-07 I spent more money on TRON and the original Star Wars than anything else but I'm old and now I'm sad.

This port looks fucking terrible.
