oogaBooga - 2010-03-09 Under the description is a little link that says "view ratings". You can rate something without leaving a comment and it still keeps track of who did it.

Camonk - 2010-03-09 Seriously? You morons can be trolled this effectively without even saying a word?

RocketBlender - 2010-03-09 Cool, I learned a new way to hate people!

|
oogaBooga - 2010-03-09 That's one of the saddest things i've seen in at least a few weeks.
|
THA SUGAH RAIN - 2012-01-25 Maybe able$icon is a misunderstood heart broken elderly man who lost his wife and never got the chance to live his dreams. This video brought up too many memories.

Comeuppance - 2010-03-09
This film got me so emotionally invested in the first fifteen minutes that I almost cried when I saw it.
FIFTEEN MINUTES.
HURT MY HEART.

Xenocide - 2010-03-09
If this were a lesser movie, the entire film would have stretched out the part where Carl and Ellis meet as kids into 90 minutes, and ended at this video's 12 second mark.
Instead, Up goes beyond where most romantic movies end, and then does something ballsy as hell for a hollywood film: it shows us the inevitable outcome of every happy marriage.
There are many, many films about obtaining love, and hardly any about what comes after. To start the movie with the end of a marriage, but still have the entire film be about that marriage without resorting to flashback, is one hell of a trick. I fucking love this movie.
It's also about a talking dog.
|
|
|
RocketBlender - 2010-03-09 Seriously, this movie got a bigger emotional responce out of me in 15 minutes than most will with 2 hours to work with.
Hell, some (all) of the games I play can't do it with their 30+ hours.
|
pineapplejuicer - 2010-03-09 i was hiding under the porch because you yelled at me...and because i love you
|
Creeps - 2010-03-09
I almost didn't want this movie to be funny. I found the funny bits jarring, actually. I just wanted to sit back and have it punch me in my emotions for an hour and a half.
|
oogaBooga - 2010-03-09 But then the talking dog happened and you're all D'AWWWWW :D
Fuck that bird, though.
|
BIlly Mays Here - 2010-03-09 Same. With Up and Wall-E you have these moving, emotional first acts and then they're like "Fuck it, introduce the wacky talking dog and crazy robots so we can sell some toys. Can't be getting TOO serious, now, can we?"
|
oddeye - 2010-03-09 WALL-E was good though because those robots can live forever.

Aelric - 2010-03-09
Two points:
1. Dammit Pixar, you toy with my heart, which is directly attached to my tear ducts.
2. Pixar might save the kids of this generation. Seriously, if only we had stuff like this for those 90s brats.
|
Noober - 2010-03-09 Uh...
Toy Story came out in 1995
|
Aelric - 2010-03-09 Doesn't count, kid.
|
Candlejackv616 - 2010-03-09 I agree with aelric, while Toy Story is a good kids movie, its nowhere near as deep and meaningful as later Pixar work.
|
mashedtater - 2010-03-09
i waited two years after this came out. for some reason i refuse to watch pixar movies initially.
and i cried and i cried and i cried some more.
|
Hooker - 2010-03-09 You waited until 2011?

Cleaner82 - 2010-03-09
Four minutes that are better than a lot of full length movies.

Yeah I cried in the cinema.

dr_mr_vandertramps - 2010-03-09
Thoroughly depressing and awesome. Great movie.
|
akinskirage - 2010-03-09
I love Pixar movies, but I honestly felt this one was really overrated. The second half of it was very much 'by-the-numbers' kid's stuff that wasn't particularly inventive or funny. No surprises. Or maybe I need to see it again.
This part did make me teary-eyed, though, I must admit.

Stopheles - 2010-03-09
Get rid of the "Best Animated Picture" award. With that out of the way, Pixar's going to win Best Picture sooner or later, and Dreamworks would never again get a nomination.

I'll have to see this movie.

spencer - 2010-03-15
Apparently, this scene even brought the house down in the storyboard room. Their goal was to bottle even just a bit of what was going on in the boards in the final animation. By their account, they knocked it out of the park, and I don't think anyone is going to disagree with them on that.
I can't even listen to the music without getting a big damn lump in my throat, but I do listen to it often because its gold, just like this movie.
|
Volbard - 2010-03-16
Wow, I heard this movie wasn't good.
|
Jeriko-1 - 2010-07-31
I was like "Oh cool, UP!"
And then came the HOLY SHIT!
Thing brings you down so much even the entire rest of the movie doesn't help you shake it.
Thank you for fucking with me, PIXAR.
