Seriously, Tyson is just a big ol' sweetheart in this. I love pretty much any video that shows people doing something they really enjoy and love, and when it's Mike Tyson taking care of his goddamned pigeon coop?
That's beautiful, man.

Do you know what a roller pigeon is, Barney? They climb high and fast, then roll over and fall just as fast toward the earth. There are shallow rollers and deep rollers. You can’t breed two deep rollers, or their young will roll all the way down, hit, and die. Officer Starling is a deep roller, Barney. We should hope one of her parents was not.

Well, I definitely back up the opinion that he is seriously bipolar.
Surprised this whole thing was on Kimmel. It's not funny, it's awesome.

I gotta respect people doing something they love, and especially when they are incredibly sweet and inviting about it.

He talks about this in Tyson. Supposedly his first fight was when an older kid killed one of his pigeons and he beat him up in a mournful rage. The rest, I guess, is history.

You know, just watching this made me totally relax. I can imagine what it would be like up there, watching the pigeons zooming around. Sun shining. Breeze blowing. And then the thought occurred t me. I wonder if he did any raping up there.

Five stars JUST because this isn't Mike Tyson?!. That the video's oddly awesome is a bonus.

Hooper_X - 2010-03-20 Man, you know Tyson?!'s pigeons would all be overpriced imports with stickers slapped on their wings and giant aftermarket spoilers.

This is great.
I recently read a book about pigeons by pigeon fanciers who bemoaned the lack of youth interest in pigeon fancying. Maybe Mike Tyson will make it cool.

one of my friends paid a whole bunch of money to go to one of those "dine with celebrities" fundraiser dinner things and said almost every famous person he met there was a dismissive douchebag, except for mike tyson who ended up sitting at their table for dinner while most of the others exited as soon as the cameras left.
the guy obviously has his share of issues and i won't defend rape but i've always thought the second half of the phrase "martial artist" is undervalued. great fighters and great painters/musicians often (but definitely not always) have a lot in common, personality-wise.

Pigeons are fascinating creatures, and Mike Tyson just got a whole lot more interesting to me as well.
