During filming of the event Ali poked fun at Marciano by swirling his wig while they were sparring and taunting Marciano about his age, Marciano warned Ali not to do that again so naturally Ali did. In response Marciano put some extra oomph into a few bodyshots, not full power but enough to dig into Ali. This was enough to get Ali to stop razzling Marciano and he's commented later on that Marciano still had a hell of a hook.
