The best way to hear this is on worn-out vinyl, at which point Lennon's voice when it sings "You can talk to me" is fuzzy enough to have been something off of FUN HOUSE.
Isn't this video something that someone cobbled together from live footage that had been used in some other promo film?
Either way, five stars for my favorite of the "how did anyone not see that this band was going to break up soon" material.
Supposedly this was all during a Lady Madonna promo film I think.
Also, I remember reading that this was pretty much the last song that they felt like a cohesive unit on, but otherwise I'm not really sure what about the song or video makes it obvious that they'd break up soon after.
I disagree about late-period Beatles being break-up material.

"Hey Bulldog" is in-between stuff. Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine... IMO they really lacked focus and were just trying out everything.
In the end, though, they did find a focus, which was to let George carry them on his back into the sunset. And it was great. Abbey Road is incredible and if John hadn't played games with the LIB tapes, that one would be as well. They went out with a bang.
