I'm well used to political hypocrisy, and so conservatives simultaneously bashing Hollywood and celebrity worship while indulging in it is unsurprising. But this goes beyond that. Leftist groups use people like Jolie and Bono to promote causes, but I've never seen from them the type of celebrity worship that the right reserves for Stephen Baldwin, Hank Williams Jr. Kelsey Grammer, Kirk Cameron, and Victoria Jackson. All people without any talent or accomplishment to their name except the worship these people give them.

Also, those trials Job suffered? They were done to him by GOD, as part of his divine purpose. In the analogy you are using, you are fighting God and helping Satan. Are you people even remotely familiar with the Bible?

Syd Midnight - 2010-04-25

You're talking about a crowd that finds Ted Nugent too anarchist and Dennis Miller too cerebral.

Hooper_X - 2010-04-25

Hey, man. "Family Tradition" is a pretty damn good song. Also, Kelsey Grammar was Sideshow Bob.

So like 20 years ago two or three of those people were cool!

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-25

Job is not really a story about having your faith tested. Christians read it that way because they fantasize about having their faith tested.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-25

not a reply but i guess it sort of works there

Millard - 2010-04-25

I know someone says "This is the most [whatever] video I have ever seen on POETV" about something pretty much every day, but this has to be among the most ridiculous videos ever to appear on this site, right?

AimoKankkunen - 2010-04-25

Just being curious here.
When god gave Job that new batch of children that god had murdered before, was Job happy with them ?

dead_cat - 2010-04-25

Did Job mourn for the family that his god took from him? The way the story goes, it makes it sound like Job just up and forgot his first family as soon as his god magically left a new one under his pillow.

I've always hated the Job story for being so stupid and poorly-written. Makes sense that it and Stephen Baldwin would eventually end up together like this.

cognitivedissonance - 2010-04-25

Remember the climax of the story, where Job dares to ask why he deserved it, and God takes him out back and gives him a vice principal bitch session about what a thankless little dipshit he is.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-25

Those where not the days of marrying for love and playing catch in the yard with your kids. Job's family is treated in the story in the same manner as the rest of his possessions. That is, he has one, loses it, and gets a new one. It's a wash. And yes God says, "where were you when I created the universe," so the important thing to take away from Job is that "shit happens" and that trying to interpret why bad things happen to good people is dumb.

Specifically, "Job" says that it's wrong to assume that someone's illness or loss is a punishment from God. The irony is that a lot of people read Job and then go off and do the opposite. Every time something bad happens to them or someone they care about, they assume they're being tested. No, you were just shitty with your finances.

Riskbreaker - 2010-04-25

I'm seriously surprised that the Baldwin tag is not active.

Hooker - 2010-04-25

Stephen Baldwin is, though: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=75760

Mister Yuck - 2010-04-25

I knew I'd seen this one before.

kingarthur - 2010-04-25

No shame here, eh?

mashedtater - 2010-04-25

there is as much shame in stephen baldwin as there is acting talent.

ItsAboutTime - 2010-04-25

this is still awesome

Hooper_X - 2010-04-25

THE USAGE OF TRAJAN AS A FONT TO DENOTE SOME SERIOUS SHIT.

Hooper_X - 2010-04-25

(seriously, is it ridiculous of me to want to go through POETV and tag every use of Trajan and Bank Gothic in a trailer or video?)

Camonk - 2010-04-25

It's... it's maybe a little ridiculous. But we all have our things, man.

Camonk - 2010-04-25

Sooooo
To prove that God IS watching over little Stevie Baldwin, all the PEOPLE got to watch the internet and know to give him money? Yeah. Yeah. That'll--that'll really shove it in the face of those god-mockers. Even for shameless money grabs, the logic at work here is pretty f'ing shakey.

phalsebob - 2010-04-25

This is already so obviously ridonkulous it needs no words... but I'd like to point that Stephen has two facial expressions. "Magnum", and "I'm Stoned."

TeenerTot - 2010-04-25

Dupe-ass dupe

boner - 2010-04-25

Stephen Baldwin is a moden day GOB.

Camonk - 2010-04-25

No way. GOB was always entertaining.

James Woods - 2010-04-26

God's not magic...

He's an ILLUSION!

mashedtater - 2010-04-29

tricks are for whores, james woods

Rum Revenge - 2010-04-25

What about that crippling skin disease God also gave Job? What in the world did the people do to cure that?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-04-25

He should get together with Victoria Jackson for the "I have nothing to offer Hollywood but I still want to be in Hollywood" tour 2010.

Seriously, people don't like to work with actors who are always wanting script changes due to their religious convictions.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-04-25

IOW, Hollywood is run by Jesus-haters with a hidden agenda to destroy America by eroding its moral foundation.

James Woods - 2010-04-26

I just bought the domain name restorejameswoods.org .

Finally a get rich quick scheme that ACTUALLY WORKS!

James Woods - 2010-04-26

Reflecting on this; I think if Jesus were a dude on Earth right now, he would get out his macbook, open it up on a table in front of a church, go to restorestephenebaldwin.org in the google chrome browser, and flip the table over in a fit of rage
Mathew 11:15 - 11:18

James Woods - 2010-04-26

Sorry, Mark 11:15.
