The movie's only even competent scene.
And that, only because the narrating actor is very very good. The rest of it is over produced, over theatrical crap that doesn't even fit in with the aesthetic or style of the rest of the movie.
This entire movie reeks of student film, even though it's not. Krasinski directed and adapted it, then decided to take on the role of the least plausible and hardest to watch monologue in cinematic history.
I really can't imagine what attracted him to this project or what he hoped to accomplish with it.

So does he hate white people, or just white clothes? Hes very ambiguous on this feeling. Also, how does he know what kind of people did what in the bathroom? Did his dad come and tell him "You know today a philanthropist threw away his cigar butt"

You know what, Erv, I don't care WHAT your daddy did. You were still a shitty commissioner.
This is so horrendously overwritten that it doesn't sound like a real person talking at all until the last like 10 seconds.

Camonk - 2010-04-29 Oh! I forgot the law that plays can't have anything like natural dialogue. Silly me!

This scene gave me chills when I first saw it. The performances and staging are just awesome.

Interesting scene, but I don't get what's supposed to be hideous about either of these men.

Okay, the film may suck but you can't argue with that scene.

If I recall a scene, there is a Sorkin-style walk and talk where the main lady says "I want to do interviews" with that odd, slightly defiant determination. That is the moment I turned it off. I like this scene, however.
