The porn music from the 80s is a brilliant touch. The Space Marines look like furniture rolling about, with someone's head sticking out of a drawer, the alien thingies look like ghoulies, and the orcs, as always, are pure awesome.

What I'm saying is that I would watch a 40k movie.

Spike Jonez - 2010-05-10

What this needs is the acting to be a little more over the top, and the art direction to be taken over by Rob Schrab, as it's already looking pretty close to his aesthetic. Something in between "Robot Bastard!" and "Exterminator City."

Daddy Warcrimes - 2010-05-10

IN THE WAR-TORN DISTANT FUTURE
40,000 AD
THERE WAS A CORPSE-GOD EMPEROR
SAVIOR OF ALL HUMANITY
HE SPENT ALL HIS TIME ON THE GOLDEN THRONE
AND EVERYONE DECORATED WITH SKULLS AND BONE
HE DID A GOOD JOB SAVING THE HUMAN RACE
BUT THERE'S LOTS OF EVIL MUPPETS OUT THERE IN THE DEPTHS OF SPAAAAACE

PRIMARCH ROLL CALL!

Spike Jonez - 2010-05-10

Dammit, if I only had more stars to give they'd be yours, Daddy Warcrimes.

memedumpster - 2010-05-10

Oh hell, me too.

glasseye - 2010-05-10

STARS FOR THE STAR THRONE

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2010-05-10

My stars are for you, too. Good job.

garcet71283 - 2010-05-10

You masterwork is now a text document on my desktop called MST40K.txt

You magnificent bastard you.

rustedmutt - 2010-05-11

Yes yes yes

cognitivedissonance - 2010-05-11

Ladies and gentlemen, the Celsius Zero of Internet Nerddom. From here we will measure any and all future nerdity.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-05-11

You stole my joke and made it better!

Shanghai Tippytap - 2010-05-11

nice filk, fags

im surprised inquisitor made it onto youtube, considering they got a warning from games workshop for using their intellectual property for a totally non-profit fan video, because GW is a shit covered sandwich.

More 40k space muppets can be seen by looking up "Final Liberation" on youtube.

memedumpster - 2010-05-10

Pure concentrated 80's awesomeness. Right up there with Robot Holocaust.

CuteLucca - 2010-05-10

You're a decade too early, man. This is all 90s. It's like Power Rangers with orgies and human sacrifice.

garcet71283 - 2010-05-10

So....it's the internet's version of Power Rangers.

BHWW - 2010-05-10

Personally, I think Warhammer 40K is kinda fruity. It all boils down to a bunch of guys in bulky armor zipping around the universe in giant ships that look like overblown Gothic cathederals just so they can have sword duels.

garcet71283 - 2010-05-10

There is a chaos god for people like you.

voodoo_pork - 2010-05-11

It is called "Faggizarg": fruitier than Slaneesh.

Camonk - 2010-05-11

Your description is actually significantly awesomer than the actual 40K setting, sorry to tell you.

But now I want that setting.

oddeye - 2010-05-11

BUT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW STUFF WORKS!!!

Yeah, gamesworkshop sucks balls in general now.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2010-05-10

It's like a combination of an early Peter Jackson film and one of the GWAR video releases.

And those marines are far too well-groomed to be Space Wolves.

kingofthenothing - 2010-05-11

I tried looking this up on YouTube and got some other funny and godawful thing, complete with horrible grammar.

FABIO - 2010-05-11

Wearing a helmet is the surest way to get yourself killed in sci-fi video games.

StanleyPain - 2010-05-11

I can't be alone in thinking this actually looks awesome and would make a very entertaining movie. I mean, seriously, can you imagine 40k done by Hollywood or something? THIS is how it should be made.

tmavomodry - 2010-05-11

http://ultramarinesthemovie.com/

Innocent Bystander - 2010-05-11

I agree. An 80's B-movie styled thingamajik is the only way to go. A cheap CGI schlockfest would ruin it, not to mention any attempt at a "serious" version.

duck&cover - 2010-05-11

With Terrance Stamp and John Pertwee!

Aelric - 2010-05-11

I posted the rest of this as the whole half hour epic. I included this as multi-part clip four, sorry about that.

Hooper_X - 2010-05-11

I have no idea what's happening here, but I like that the steam tunnels or whatever it is they're maneuvering those huge suits through are clearly too small for their huge combat suits.

You'd think in the DISTANT WARTORN FUTURE WHERE THERE IS ONLY WAR they'd, you know, build the steam tunnels to accommodate the giant bulky suits of armor everyone seems to be wearing.

oddeye - 2010-05-11

Power Armour (the smaller version that the second lot fighting the orks are wearing) is supposed to be ultra-super rare. The bulkier "Terminator" armour that the first lot are wearing is the rarest of the rare and only given to the most skilled blablabla etc.

Add to the fact that the guys wearing them are supposed to be at least 7ft tall musclebound supermen and it's not hard to see why a Space Marine in Terminator armour is not on the usual list of things to worry about when building a tunnel full of steam.

Excuse me while I bathe in bleach and brillo myself off.

Hooker - 2010-05-11

oddeye is correct. Terminator marines moving through steam tunnels is the least of Warhammer 40k's problems.

sosage - 2010-05-11

Besides that, how the hell are they going to get a giant tape measure in that tunnel to measure their shot trajectory?

Ba boom pssshhhht.....

Camonk - 2010-05-30

My favorite thing about the setting is that all that crazy, ultra-rare power armor that all the space marines have anyhow? Shit goes through that stuff like it's crepe paper. Space bugs can poke their little arms through it.

oddeye - 2014-03-10

It's the same sales model "Limited Edition, but not so limited that it's a holographed foil, yet more rare than a blue foil" bullshit that cardgames use. There are like 200 warehouse planets overflowing with powerarmour.
