Perfect for anyone who wants to know what it would be like to live on Mars.

duck&cover - 2010-05-13

Condominium Maximus has come himself.

Reminds me of that apartment in "The Fifth Element."

C. Eloi Marx - 2010-05-13

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who immediately thought that. I think that it needs a "The Fifth Element" tag.

kennydra - 2010-05-13

it's beautiful.

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2010-05-13

I love this concept, although I think changing out the various panels would get kinda old after a few days. Imagine working a hard 50 or 60 hour week, and having to come home and constantly be moving your walls around just to take a shower, cook a meal, sit down to watch tv, and then go to bed. Makes leisure-at-home seem more like Moving, but every day.

Robin Kestrel - 2010-05-13

"Moving the walls" is the 25th room: the gym.

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2010-05-13

The kitchen is only two meters wide."

... That's impossible. Even for an Asian.

Nikon - 2010-05-13

I live in Japan. It's very possible. My kitchen is only 5 feet wide.

Dread Pirate Roberts - 2010-05-13

So, you're saying your kitchen is as big as a Wamp Rat?

Banal Intercourse - 2010-05-13

*****

These are for you, Wesley.

glasseye - 2010-05-13

I had an apartment in the states where the kitchen was just over 2m wide (though about 5m long)

Cena_mark - 2010-05-14

When all you do is cook rice you don't need a big kitchen.

Nikon - 2010-05-13

I like the idea.

memedumpster - 2010-05-13

What a groovy apartment!

Camonk - 2010-05-13

Oh goddammit. I was gonna submit this, then I think I got drunk or something instead. We're enemies, now, Chizmurder. ENEMIES

Candlejackv616 - 2010-05-13

Looks like Korben Dallas's apartment is becoming a reality, and thats alright by me.

Though its sad to think that China will probably never adopt this idea in the future.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-05-13

I can see living like that.

Kieran27 - 2010-05-13

Very nice, though I think the orange light would really annoy me after a bit. What I'd really like to know it how much all this cost to set up and how all the plumbing/wiring would work with sliding walls.

Meerkat - 2010-05-14

The wiring can be track wiring and the plumbing doesn't move. Note that the bath and kitchen sink are both the last configuration against the wall.

garcet71283 - 2010-05-14

It's like living in a Michael Bay movie!

Chibisuke - 2010-05-14

I think the things that need plumbing were against the back walls of each side of the apartment. The stuff that moved was mainly closets and bookshelves.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2010-05-13

That is twice as large as my dorm was in the east village. However, I feel like I would be just as unable to entertain anyone in this apartment "Oh you want a glass of wine? Here just let fold up my bed and Im going to be pushing and pulling a couple walls so you might want to stand in the hallway or this is going to get real Twilight Zone real fast"

kennydra - 2010-05-13

architects don't have friends.

Jet Bin Fever - 2010-05-13

And you get a little bonus strength and cardio pushing them around all day.

teenage mutant lisa turtle - 2010-05-14

Are those cd's? I can think of at least one thing he can do to maximize efficiency.

Squeamish - 2010-05-25

Ugh. Oh god.

My claustrophobia's acting up.

fluffy - 2010-06-06

Of course Ikea has perfectly-functional 300-square-foot apartment examples in their showrooms which don't require all this fiddling, but which also don't have much more than a bed and a sink.

petep - 2010-08-19

that's cool and everything but i'm pretty sure i'd rather die
