how do you train that thing to shut the hell up

MaulLove - 2010-05-19

There's like twenty of them in the background.

Skater budgie gets five stars.

Gwago - 2010-05-19

More than 50% of this video is her warning you not to stress your budgie out.

Comeuppance - 2010-05-19

There was a maximum of two minutes of that.

But, honestly, if she wanted this to be a fun learning experience for the viewer, she could have done this in a room where there weren't 3-5 other birds that won't shut the hell up.

Having worked in a pet store, though, I know that bird people have a tendency to be completely insane. It's entirely possible that there is no other room, and that she is living in a studio apartment with 5+ birds and maybe two doors total.

The problem here is that the "First, place your new budgie on the skateboard" step requires a couple years a relatively bright parakeet, and a stupid or nervous one will never get past it.

Very informative.

Good work, Mick!

rustedmutt - 2010-05-19

Mick looks exactly like my first bird ever. As a six year old, I would have loved this.

I still love this.

La Loco - 2010-05-19

That's some terrible skateboarding. Tony Hawk that bird is not.

I love parakeets. I had two when i was a kid, at different times. the blue one died and we got a green one. my fondest memory of the green one, Chipper, was with our dog. Our dog Misty used to get treats and we asked her if she wanted a treat every time we gave her a treat. One day i pointed to chipper in his cage and said "Misty, tweet! Misty, look a tweet!" Poor chipper practically shat himself when the dog came running up to his cage barking and salivating. I miss that bird.

Is is wrong that I find her voice arousing when she tells me not to "stress my budgie out" and "push, and up"

I'm seriously conflicted by this due to the fact that she is most likely hideous on the other side of that camera.

chumbucket - 2010-05-20

bird needs a cap turned backwards

Evilhead - 2010-05-20

55 billion stars.
