I have three of them. They're great.
I have Gunfighters and Miners. Although I only have two books to compare, I get the impression that Gunfighters was the money book in the collection.

my grandmother's second husband had those books. I loved them. He traded them for some pipe tobacco. I really shouldn't be surprised by that.

These look really neat. I'm guessing I can't order them anymore, but I'm sure they live on in flea markets and estate sales throughout our greatish nation.

If you never cancelled, they sent you 26 of the fuckin things. My Mom had the same thing going on with worthless dolls/figurines/plates.
My mom still has these, along with a pretty awesome Time Life book set about ghosts. Just the pictures alone used to creep me out as a kid.
Those Time/Life mythology and folklore books always had the best illustrations. I get excited just thinking about them.
Nice, but the Mysteries of the Unknown series will always hold that special place in my heart.
I have to admit, I might have to search ebay for a set. Looks interesting.
