I can see why these games are so popular!

CapnJesusHood - 2010-05-28

I think the green haired guy wants to take nappy time with Edgie too. But I'm just glad this game has the guts to tackle the issue of underage quaalude abuse.

StanleyPain - 2010-05-28

5 for the fact that Caminante was the first to vote this up in the hopper.

Jet Bin Fever - 2010-05-28

ARG COSTUMES! ARG VOICE ACTING!

fourthguy - 2010-05-28

ARG WRITING! ARG CHARACTER DESIGN! ARG oh fuck it everything about this is horrible

kingarthur - 2010-05-28

Everything about this is incredibly annoying.

teenage mutant lisa turtle - 2010-05-30

Kay?

revdrew - 2010-05-28

They actually paid a grown woman to say those lines.

PegLegPete - 2010-05-28

This has an eerie resemblance to 7th heaven.

RomancingTrain - 2010-05-28

Is this one as completely ridiculous as the last one?

FABIO - 2010-05-28

I still can't believe how awesome to shit this series went between 2 and 3.

Goethe and ernie - 2010-05-28

Five stars for the sense of relief I felt upon realising I'd misinterpreted the title.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-05-28

:O

Goethe and ernie - 2010-05-28

Wait, Americans don't say "nappy", do they?

tmavomodry - 2010-05-28

not for diapers, no.

Xenocide - 2010-05-28

The Japanese believe in saving time. That's why they gave the little girl an annoying speech quirk instead of a personality.

Nikon - 2010-05-28

This really wasn't that bad. The english voice acting was awful of course, but I never thought that this was supposed to be something other than a nap, and the guy wasn't a creep.

Potrod - 2010-05-28

Yeah, the voice acting and writing are atrocious, but I'm not getting any genuine creepy vibes from this.

Star Ocean 2 was a pretty fun game, as I remember.

APE_GOD - 2010-05-28

I love that the Japanese watched the munchkin sequence from The Wizard of Oz and decided that it was the haute couture of the future.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-05-28

You people are just jealous because YOU have to spend nappy time alone.

kingofthenothing - 2010-05-28

Good thing my gamer senses have steered me clear of ridiculous shit like this over the years.

Camonk - 2010-05-28

This is basically anime with decent animation. So... well, you know. It's boring weird, not even interesting weird.

Xenocide - 2010-05-28

"Decent animation."

Really? Where?

RomancingTrain - 2010-05-28

Decent animation for anime means >10FPS

Camonk - 2010-05-28

Yes, exactly. See, RomancingTrain gets it.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-05-30

Screw you, Camonk!

Screw ALL of you!

Riskbreaker - 2010-05-28

Could anyone explain why the japanese got obsessed with little girls in the last 10 years? Sure, anime and video games already had some in the past, but things went from City Hunter to My Lucky Stars, from Relm of FFVI to....this. What's going on over there?

Redlof - 2010-05-28

Some nerds are threatened by women to the point that they fetishize innocence. If the only girls who don't scare you are 10-year-olds, then you end up with stuff like this.

jyrque - 2010-05-29

Did the US version just cut all music? Every clip of SO4 cutscenes I see is completely devoid of any background noise. This just makes everything seem even more lifeless and without soul than JRPGs in general.

Stars for horror.

klingerbgoode - 2010-05-31

i played star ocean 4 until i got to the scene where this little girl is introduced, at which point i took it back to the store. as i remember correctly, the audio glitches out and you'll be running around in the wilderness when the music will stop suddenly and you'll just have the sound of footsteps.

it also happened during the first boss battle, which was very surreal indeed.
