This is true, but only because Epic has given up making good Unreal Tournament games to make shitty Gears of Wars games. Valve IS making the best FPSs, but not because of the "I hate the lack of realism of regenerating health, I'd rather have the hardcore experience of a single Health bar that depletes gradually even though they just shot both my kneecaps with a sniper rifle and I continue running at full speed, but now I have to hunt for a magic white box with a red cross on it that will instantly return me to full health" retard reason.

It's not the regenerating health that they have a problem with it's the hiding behind rocks.
