I give this pizza 3 out of 5 star shaped pepperonis.

I hate the spastic, random zoom they use to try and make something look authentic and give that handheld vibe.

First it seems to be an introspective look into the horrifying soullessness of television advertising but then it pulls a M Night Shyamalan twist in the crucial last 30 secs.

Which is the real commercial? Has there ever been a real commercial? Do the men that deliver us from lies only do so to convince us of their own lies? Will I someday lie in a grave never knowing the truth?

True story: I used to work downstairs from this famous food director. One day, they spent hours and thousands on this really great looking sandwich. They then simply placed it in the fridge, and started setting up the shot. Later on, they learned a valuable lesson in labeling props, someone else learned the consequences of ingesting paint and fixative and the rest of the crap they use to glitz up those props. Overall, it was a very informative day.

The pictures at the end made me throw up in my mouth a little.

My wife actually has been on a couple of food shoots for a regional fast food chain.

It is exactly like this. Any time you see milk, that is actually Elmer's Glue. I forget exactly what they used to make the milkshakes, but it was something along the lines of papier mache and rice pudding.

Maybe I just have a thing for chicks with gloves, but that lady talking about how she's done many "cheese pulls" and how you have to "feel the cheese is ready to be pulled" got me all hot and bothered.

This went from "great idea for a Christopher Guest movie" to "trying too hard to insert the ad part" in about 15 seconds.
