I think the reason people apparently call him preachy is because his comedy routine consists of humorless rants about how terrible America has become, and how awesome America is.

Syd Midnight - 2010-07-24

That formula worked well for Bill Hicks because he wasn't a conservative Republican

joelkazoo - 2012-03-08

22 seconds. I refuse to go any further. Just take my goddam stars.

fulakarp - 2010-07-23

how is that a comedy routine? it's essentially a more boring glenn beck diatribe.

memedumpster - 2010-07-23

Wait, you mean Glenn Beck isn't a comedian!?

Shanghai Tippytap - 2010-07-23

conservative humor is too riddled with bitter anger to actually be funny

FABIO - 2010-07-23

Bitter anger can be hilarious. The trick to making it funny is that it has to either be about the teller's helplessness and/or the target's cognitive dissonance.

Every single conservative train of thought stems from trying to prop up how rugged and tough they are, so the first option is out, and I think we all know who corners the market on the second.

Kieran27 - 2010-07-23

The best consevative humor is unintentional. By proudly boasting he's a comedian, this man tries way too hard.

FABIO - 2010-07-23

The reason for Poe's law is that, deep down, conservative ideology is about personal insecurity giving rise to a mixture of inflated egos, racism, paranoia, authoritarianism, and imperialism. Things that they can't admit openly or come to terms with.

Since a huge part of humor is personal manias, it's impossible to do anything but laugh AT such people.

Scynne - 2010-07-23

Rank with heresy.

UmbilicalFiend - 2010-07-23

the kid 18 seconds in is my boyfriend

Bebido - 2010-07-23

I'm sorry.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-23

How is saying you hate Europe social commentary?

SolRo - 2010-07-23

because they are DIFFERENT!

spikestoyiu - 2010-07-23

They're different and they're (largely) happy, so FUCK THEM.

CapnJesusHood - 2010-07-23

Who's the one other conservative comedian? Dennis Miller? Gallagher? Don't leaving me hanging, Giant David Rappaport!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-23

Don't forget Victoria Jackson. Though her humor comes from sheer mental illness.

DK1987 - 2010-07-23

Nick Dipaolo, and Colin Quinn probably lean to the right.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-07-23

"Heritage" is such a loaded word he can't say it without hunching over.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-07-23

It's not even fair to call this conservative. Judges are all immoral and we need to band together and fight them... the fuck? I mean conservatives like to flirt with martyrdom a little but this guy's basically paranoid schizophrenic.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-07-23

meant as a reply to Shanghai

Rudy - 2010-07-23

That was the only part that made me laugh.

Riskbreaker - 2010-07-23

They sure like to show the audience laughing.

kamlem - 2010-07-23

Gay, fat, black, Hispanic and female comedians are allowed to make humorous observations about real life, why aren't I allowed to make jokes about my fantastical delusions!

Vestigial Johnson - 2010-07-23

this man's forehead is epic.

And he reminds me of Dennis Leary in a way that makes Mr. Leary seem like a comic genius. Which is no small feet.

Kudos to Jesus, Amurrca and you, Brad Stine!

charmlessman - 2010-07-23

He's got fivehead.

Hooper_X - 2010-07-23

"...and if you get enough people, you win! That's America!"

No, you stumblefuck, that's MOB RULE.

Also, silent majority, "want our country back", "tyranny"... this guy's a goddamned bingo card of conservative bullshit.

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2010-07-23

The first part had a mildly amusing set-up. Then, I waited for the jokes to start again. I waited in vain.

Emcee - 2010-07-23

it's not easy

being straight, white, american, christian, middle class and male

having to spend each day

the exact same as every motherfucker in power

Chancho - 2010-07-23

He looks and acts like a cokehead realtor.

Toenails - 2010-07-23

If the people around you are clapping more than they are laughing, then you are seeing a conservative christian comedian.

Chris Rock does not pander to the audience that much during his routine, Jerk Hair. That is why he doesn't preach and you do.

Kabbage - 2013-07-24

Amen

Killer Joe - 2010-07-23

I'm with the tyrannical judges. I think his show would suck too.

chumbucket - 2010-07-23

if Denis Leary, Glenn Beck and Woody Harrelson could have a three-way and produce a baby

Vaidency - 2010-07-23

Who are all these liberals fighting to keep this guy off the air? Because I want to join them.

Udderdude - 2010-07-23

From Wikipedia: "On the advice of a fellow comic, he eventually made his Christian faith and conservatism the focus of his act."

Fuck that guy.

charmlessman - 2010-07-23

You know what's funny about this guy?

Nothing.

Robin Kestrel - 2010-07-23

All I'm asking liberals to do is give me my own sitcom.

boggy84 - 2010-07-23

maybe he could endear himself to the liberal hollywood comedy elites by possibly telling a joke at some point during his career.
