Xenocide - 2010-08-13 NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD! NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD!
Hey buddy, did you get a load of the nerd?
FABIO - 2010-08-13 The first season and a half were great when it was all about gung ho adventure types and the friction of the characters who hated them.
Then they started pandering to the nerd crowd more and more until jokes disappeared entirely in favor of an animated wikipedia page of who was whose cloned mother's son's ex-bodyguard's lover WILL DEAN AND TRIANA EVER GET TOGETHER because nerds cannot enjoy anything unless every last asperg detail is laid out in Lord of the Rings encyclopedia volumes so they can lose themselves in their Inception dream of not being trapped in mom's basement.
Caminante Nocturno - 2010-08-13 The nerds were responsible for that?! I had no idea nerds could be so sinister!
How do you sleep at night, nerds?
Adramelech - 2010-08-14 What FABIO said, minus the "the first season and a half were great" part.
If you like this sort of thing, you're either a teenager who will look back on liking this and laugh or a guy who is way too old to be updating entries on TV Tropes.

Oh thank God!

Dr. Lobotomy - 2010-08-13
The first half of season 4 was mostly them going back and shitting on interesting moments on the other seasons.
So Venture bodyguards tend to end up killing their assignment when they start messing with the ORB... nah, the muscle man just broke the orb.
Hunter Gathers got the operation to be a woman and Brock spared him and was left pretty messed up by the situation(his dolphin dream)... nah, it was just a Mister Garrison reversible deal.
Plus Sergeant Hatred is just lame. At least Brock served as a complete opposite to Rusty.
IrishWhiskey - 2010-08-13 Those are valid points, but then again, in just 8 episodes we got gems like Captain Sunshine, Aborted Dean, Phantom Limb's crew, Ghost 24, and the incredible comic book value time indicator. With more Brock, it should just get even better.
Dr. Lobotomy - 2010-08-13 I'll agree with Phantom Limbs' crew and his related descent into total madness and the potential of Ghost 24(who they'll hopefully keep dead)
But Captain Sunshine was way too obvious and decades late. Seriously, basing an entire episode on the Batman/Robin thing?
And aborted Dean? They already did the vengeful surviving foetus thing with Jonah Jr. and then they pull a status quo ante ending...
asian hick - 2010-08-13 I liked season 4. True, it's not like 1 or 2 where it's adventures and jokes. I think the creators are exploring the characters and seeing where they go. I think it's interesting it went from a straight spoof of action/superhero shows to one about dealing with teenage problems and personal issues that just happens to have a fantastic setting. I can understand how it wouldn't be to everyone's taste, though.
And yeah I agree on Sgt. Hatred 100%. They really need to lose that guy.
StanleyPain - 2010-08-14 Wow, remember when Venture Bros. was just a funny parody of Jonny Quest and you didn't have to have some fucking flowchart of characters and their origins and who did what to which person to even follow what the fuck was going on?
Yeah, Season 1 was great....
pastorofmuppets - 2010-08-14 (Venture Bros. is at its best when characters are bickering about stupid things. It's still good but there isn't enough bickering anymore.)

Nipple electrode wake-up call.
CornOnTheCabre - 2010-08-13
I'm glad they at least addressed the fact there really isn't any reason not to consider this an entirely new season.
Six-episode seasons are perfectly normal in the UK and even starting to be cool here (see: Eastbound and Down). I'm just not really understanding any possible upside to taking a nine-month break in the middle of a serial notorious for being pretty hard to follow in the first place.

FeeFiFoFoTheFifeFifeBrown - 2010-08-14
God, just go to hell, you dumb nerd cunts. I wish I was dead.
FeeFiFoFoTheFifeFifeBrown - 2010-08-14 I think you miss the point, fatatty. The video description was supposed to preempt and repel the fucking ridiculous FABIO types, but here they are anyway. Hopeless.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-08-14
This show is entertaining and I like it.
LET THE CONTROVERSIAL COMMENTS COMMENCE

SolRo - 2010-08-14
If you get all pissy and butt hurt over what "nerds" did to YOUR FAVORITE CARTOON SHOW, I think you might be a nerd.
Or a closeted douchebag, as other have suggested.
FABIO - 2010-08-14 Only nerds say "butthurt"
Pillager - 2010-08-14 Or post comments on websites.
FABIO - 2010-08-14 I dunno. I came to school but no one showed! White knighting your favorite cartoon is about fifteen layers of sad deeper than saying a show jumped the shark.
It was a good show until it tried too hard to cater to a specific demograph with soap opera character bullshit, just like most shows in existence. Near the end it was nearly as bad as an animated version of Big Bang Theory.
And face it, if this show had dropped all the Johnny Quest stuff and started catering to the Dane Cook bro demographic you nerds would be shitting your pants .
SolRo - 2010-08-15 but we're nerds, that's what we do.
On the other hand, you're a douchebag that's acting like a nerd while hating on nerds. I'm sure you also protest gay marriage on weekdays and suck massive amounts of dick on the weekends.

Hooker - 2010-08-14
I have no strong feelings about this show whatsoever. I watched the first season; it was alright.
themilkshark - 2010-08-14
Venture Bros. is so fucking good. I'm anticipating the movie. Trilogy.
takewithfood - 2010-08-14
I hope that the people who don't/can't/won't enjoy this show as much as I do at least enjoy some other show just as much. Even though it's probably Glee.
Goofy Gorilla - 2010-08-14
I love when you dorks argue about cartoons.
Toenails - 2010-08-15 P.S. It's not our fault that some of the denizens of this site have no taste in fine cartooning.
Mickerus - 2010-08-14
I like this show, and feel no need to defend it.
I like internet slapfights over this show even more, and I know they're indefensible.
