And upon close inspection, it sure looks like it's eating fresh, crunchy cabbage.

A potato chip would probably blow it's little rodent mind.

It's the whiskers. It makes it appear to be a Victorian Gentleman with a mustache.

I think it's the fact that the eyes and nostril are almost level, and it has a long upper lip. It's suggestive of a person with their head held up and a frown on their face, but the negative connotations of this posture that you'd have on a human vanish because it's a giant fuzzy rodent.
