ass burgers man is right

Jellyneck - 2010-08-28

Maybe he was. I found his VOICE and how he YELLED every other WORD to be ANNOYING. I could not finish this clip.

He also can not pronounce "Cera" or "titular".

TheQuakeSoldier - 2010-08-28

I'm pretty sure that's TheAmazingAtheist guy. Has he re-branded himself now?

Xenocide - 2010-08-28

"The movie business is a business!"

Thanks for that!

baleen - 2010-08-28

That is the AmazingAtheist.
I kind of hate that guy but I'm sure that whatever he is doing is a form of trolling somebody or other.

memedumpster - 2010-08-28

Oh wow, why wasn't one of his reasons "there is no God?" That seems so obvious.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2010-08-28

Why Scott Pilgrim flopped: 90% of the population gives no fuck about the story of a 24 year-old man seducing a 16 year-old girl by beating up her ex-boyfriends while making videogame references.

Candlejackv616 - 2010-08-28

Hmmm I find it funny that he says audiences are pussy's, yet this guy cant stop fucking ranting and showing how much HIS vagina hurts over his precious little comic turned movie flopping. As if he had some sort of monetary stake in it outside of buying a ticket.

I'll tell you why it flopped, it was a pandering piece of shit thats what! read the first volume of the comic thought it was a pandering piece of shit after so many friends of mine insisted I would like it cause "you play video games!!11!!1!", so I figured this film was going to be the same damn thing, and from the looks of the trailer and casting of Cera seems to be the case.

This fuck needs to get over it and stop shaking/swaying so damn much when he talks. Also don't get me wrong I love this mans work but I blame Lewis Black for some of the mannerisms nerds like this demonstrate in online videos.

Doomstein - 2010-08-28

The chick with the ex-boyfriends, Ramona, is the same age as him.

The girl he dumps in the beginning of the movie to date Ramona is 17.

It actually was a really good movie.

memedumpster - 2010-08-28

I didn't see this movie for exactly the reason he stated before he contradicted himself with the opposite reason. I'm sick of that guy being in movies. I saw Year One (DON'T) and was crushed when I found out what I thought was the lesbian "straight man" was actually him.

He has become the next Tom Hanks.

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-08-28

I honestly don't think you fully realize what a mean thing that is to say.

Doomstein - 2010-08-28

I hate Michael Cera. I think he's a blubbery vagina. It actually kills me a little inside to defend anything he participates in. But because he's such a weak chinned little girl, the directors pull a rope a dope and the great fight choreography leaves you kind of stunned.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2010-08-28

This movie is the only Michael Ceras film I liked.

I fucking hated listening to this guy talk.

gambol - 2010-08-28

I didn't see it because I thought it looked dumb.

Syd Midnight - 2010-08-28

If the movie featured this guy getting punched in the face I would pay to see it

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-08-28

I didn't see it because I'm done paying ten dollars for a movie ticket, especially when I can just wait a few months and get it on Netflix.

Also, this video contains an intolerable man.

Doomstein - 2010-08-28

I hear ya, I ended up going to see it with a group of friends though, and I'm glad I did. The music in the movie is what clinched it as one of my favorites this year and it's best heard loud. Beck wrote all of Sex Bob-Omb's (Pilgrim's band) music and it was distorted, garaged-out and groovy. Also there were some great songs in there by the Rolling stones and Metric. If you watch it at home, crank up the volume on some good speakers : )

IrishWhiskey - 2010-08-28

This guy's not bad enough to be entertaining, just run-of-the-mill aggravating. There's a million like him in comic book and coffee shops around the world.

For my worthless opinion? (and offering this makes me not much better than this guy, I know): It's not bad, and the action sequences were surprisingly good. But it had script problems that clearly came from doing an adaptation. It's no major sin, but some scenes and characters held back a tight story. The other problem was both leads. Neither Cera not Winstead inspired empathy or interest.

Xenocide - 2010-08-28

The thing is, some stories will never, ever work outside of their native medium, no matter how much talent you throw at them. Scott Pilgrim is very much a cartoon, in the old-school sense of the term. It will never work as anything but a cartoon. Despite the comic's many problems, this is a point in its favor.

Even as a video game, it was a bit of a stretch, though I guess it gets kudos for being the most self-congratulatory thing the medium has given us since Smash Bros Brawl.

Candlejackv616 - 2010-08-29

Yeah I'll admit the video game is pretty damn good, downloaded it 2 days ago, fun fun fun all the way.

StanleyPain - 2010-08-28

what the fuck, is this avenging atheist (or whatever) and his new thing?

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2010-08-28

GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT SCOTT PILGRIM I NEVER WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THIS MOVIE AGAIN

Adham Nu'man - 2010-08-28

"Audiences are bunch of big fat blubbering pussies!!!"

"Lint out of their belly button"

LOL

Of all the movies that people don't watch because "they are stupid", fatman hat to choose this one.

joelkazoo - 2010-08-28

"Fatman Hat" would be a good band name.
I had chosen not to see this movie because it seemed too damn hip for its own good. On the other hand, it was directed by the guy who did Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, so perhaps I'll wait for it to hit the discount cinema.
5 for neckbeard pussy calling us pussies.

joelkazoo - 2010-09-03

I sneaked in to see this after watching "Machete" (THAT flick was good stupid fun), and my suspicions were confirmed: this movie IS too damn hip for its own good, and I'm glad it tanked.

Riskbreaker - 2010-08-28

I don't give a shit about a romantic story with ham fisted video game references. As simple as that.

oddeye - 2010-08-28

I just don't give a shit.

oddeye - 2011-06-22

Fucking hell, coming across posts you made a while ago, only to discover you were just as much of a hardcore dickhead then as you are now is rather haunting.

BHWW - 2010-08-28

Not the most annoying opinion in re: the Scott Pilgrim movie but a lot of nerds (nerds in all the worst senses of the word) seemed to be invested in this flick being a rip-roaring success.

Consider this article at salon.com:

http://www.salon.com/entertainment/movies/feature/2010/08/12/t riumph_of_the_nerds/index.html

the premise of which is "NERDS ARE THE NEW CHIC (as has been claimed for years actually) AND THIS MOVIE IS GONNA KICK ASS AT THE BOX OFFICE".

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-08-28

It's more like 'nerds' became a viable target for advertising years ago. Some people (you know the kind) have taken this as a form of acceptance and still haven't gotten over it.

Xenocide - 2010-08-28

It flopped because it was a movie with a very specific target audience, cunningly released just when said audience were too busy packing up and moving back into their dorms to go see a movie.

It'll probably make big money on DVD, but don't let that stop you from screaming at a webcam, beardy.

Hammer Falls - 2010-08-29

I could only make it to reason 3. His moving around, his tone... He must be a treat to talk to in person.
Oh, and yeah, his number 4 reason: Maybe not the best time to try that audiences play it safe in the same summer when "Inception" has already raked in 2 million.

Accidie - 2010-08-29

While this guy sucks, he's not very evil.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2010-08-29

yeah I know it's portal of EVIL, amiright

fuckin hang yourself

kingarthur - 2010-08-29

You know, I liked the movie. I had a good time. I don't care who was in it or if they're too popular for school now. So there. It's a movie.

Quad9Damage - 2010-08-29

Oh, somebody submitted a That Guy With the Glasses video... honestly, I like the Nostalgia Critic, Spoony, and Cinema Snob but everyone else on that site seriously sucks.

twinkieafternoon - 2010-08-29

The people who saw it are only saying it's good, but they mean it's great, they just only say it's good (solid) because they're embarrassed to say it's great.

Also, there's a controversy over how to say 2010?

azazel - 2010-08-30

I thought The Expendables was pretty fucking entertaining.

joelkazoo - 2011-01-31

As did I. Just leave your brain at the door and enjoy the explosions.

CornOnTheCabre - 2010-11-03

This movie was primarily marketed towards people who can't afford a 10 dollar movie ticket and are smart enough to let that stop them. That's why it flopped.

fluffy - 2011-04-01

Yep. I insisted on seeing it with a friend and the friend hadn't heard of it aside from seeing a couple posters and thinking it was some stupid teenage romance flick. He ended up glad he saw it.

FABIO - 2011-10-19
