Some of the stuff the guy found in this is used in the intro but other stuff seems to just be unused. I love this stuff, it's so neat how people find it.

Wanna meet that dam.

pineapplejuicer - 2010-09-05

Whaaaaaaat where the shit is my ps2?!

Mike Tyson?! - 2010-09-05

I've never played this game. :(

baleen - 2010-09-06

The last console I owned was a Sega. :(

One of the better arguments the 'games are art' crowd can present.

I don't recall a parachute are any point, but ten again, there were post-game items that I never used.

pineapplejuicer - 2010-09-06

you had to do something insane to get the parachute, shoot all the lizards maybe? i dont remember what it was but i remember thinking it probably wasn't worth the struggle

Aelric - 2010-09-06

Yeah, I just tried climbing to the garden on top of the temple and called it a day when I got there.

Harveyjames - 2010-09-06

You get things like the parachute from beating the colossi in record time, in the SECOND QUEST. The game has all these Zelda-y items to find that they basically just decided to leave out of the main game.

"One of the better arguments the 'games are art' crowd can present."

ugh

Harveyjames - 2010-09-06

Also known as the 'common fucking sense' crowd

TheOtherCapnS - 2010-09-06

I've always favored the "the entire show 'The Critic'" argument, aka the "Roger Ebert and most all critics are small, sad people who are usually failures at being artists themselves or otherwise have no creative ability/spirit and therefore make a living by tearing down what other people create" argument, aka the "Anton Ego's monologue from the end of 'Ratatouille'" argument.

Great game, cool find, horrible and spastic camera work.

Aelric - 2010-09-07

Perhaps I should have phrased that differently. I AM the games are art crowd.

Tom Collins - 2010-11-14

Pop art really blurred the lines.

vissarion - 2010-09-06

The bit at the end looks a lot like Ico. Come to think of it, wasn't there a big dam in Ico?

StanleyPain - 2010-09-06

Well, the overall art design was meant to put one in mind of Ico since it was by the same developers and was intended as a sort of "prequel." The Last Guardian, coming for the Ps3 presumably later this year or next year is supposed to be the third game of the "series" so to speak.

Redlof - 2010-09-06

You can find the beach from the end of Ico in Shadow of the Colossus if you look for it.

Harveyjames - 2010-09-06

That's a depressing thought. So when they 'escaped' they washed up in the cursed land where nothing grows, and died? :(

Aelric - 2010-09-06

I think it's more that the boy in Shadow grows up to be Ico. It has to do with turning back into a baby, now with horns, and adopted by your newly resurrected girlfriend. By the way, THAT"S A SPOILER, DON'T READ THIS!

For more Colossus fun see INNUENDO88's YouTube channel, which has 1080p renders of the game done through an emulator.
