They actually did a not-awful job at casting Bill and Ted, at least, it looks like. I had no idea this existed before now.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-09-06
I remember this! I only remember one episode, in which Bill and Ted basically met themselves as future yuppies, and were very disappointed in their future selves for smoking and for being adult assholes. The future selves just looked at their teenage selves and couldn't believe they had been such idiots.
The reason they had been brought together was so they could convince their future selves not to break up the band. But wouldn't that mean that a future jerk Bill and Ted were inevitable? They decided at the end not to become jerks but wouldn't that mean the whole episode was a pointless exercise? Would Bill and Ted as a pair of selfish, money grubbing jerks be just an alternate universe, since they remember meeting their future selves?

garcet71283 - 2010-09-06 Actually, I heard somewhere that there was a 3rd Bill and Ted being worked on, until Corman died, and that was basically the plot. Except, Rufus was the one who found them as middle-aged assholes and had to set them back on track....with time travel, of course.

Kieran27 - 2010-09-06 I saw one episode as well, where their time machine got fitted with a new device and could let them travel into TV programs.
All I could think of was "Well, they jumped the shark early."

It is my understanding that the 3rd Bill and Ted movie became Biodome.

garcet71283 - 2010-09-07 Actually, there was an update posted September second by Alex Winters...apparently they are still trying to get it made.
