One of the greatest movies of all time ... and just in time for Halloween!

I always loved this scene. It's basically where Ash goes from being a weepy girly man to a chainsaw wielding, shotgun toting badass.

I question how realistic this scene is. Would a man who says "Groovy" have the technical knowledge to do this? I think not. "Wonderful" or perhaps "Peachy Keen" would have been more believable.

Bruce Motherfucking Campbell!

Is there anything like Campbell's performance in the first two Evil Dead movies? He's onscreen nearly every minute, reacting to the craziest, most fucked-up shit anyone has ever seen, and he keeps it believiable. Even in the first one, where the effects are ridiculous.

Incidentally, if you ever want to see Campbell do some "realistic" acting, locate his performance in "Homicide: Life on the Streets", as a cop who goes outside the law to avenge his father's killer. Fine work.

No matter how many unfunny shitbirds try to piggyback on this movie it will never stop being great.
