The saga of Ranger Charlie and Rosco and Ronnie is pretty involved. Originally it was just Ranger Charlie, who was an old fat guy. Ratings were low, so they brough in the dude in the red shirt here as a puppet raccoon. Fat Ranger Charlie died.

Rosco held down the show for about a year, until Ranger Charlie (2), an attractive young weather girl showed up. She lasted for a few years until she realized she had better career options elsewhere. Rosco was alone.

The actor who played Rosco, meanwhile, got married, and apparently that's where Ronnie came from. The husband and wife kiddie show hosting team.

I was barely old enough to remember the first Ranger Charlie, all I remember of him was that he was the fat guy, but still the second felt like a poor substitute, even when my brother got to be on it.
I had abandoned the show by the time Ronnie came around, so this incarnation is a strange creature to me. I had moved on to the Q13 kid's club because they had Darkwing Duck.
