I wasn't crazy about this as a kid, but now as an adult I find I seem to know every scene by heart.

Oh, Savage Steve Holland... you... you... how could you? Strange that it's not listed on Savage Steve's filmography on his Wikipedia article.

It's just so thoroughly baffling.

Why is one of the 3 Ninjas being menaced by a Eurotrash Bride of Frankenstein?

WHY IS THE CANDY FACTORY BEING POWERED BY A WATER WHEEL?

The CGI is surprisingly good. Yay, ILM!

Because electricity is expensive

Why is the celebration of halloween contingent on a local candy factory remaining in operation?

The Huggable Universe - 2010-10-30

Oh yeah? Then why do they light the little bridge and the warehouse area in the middle of the night? They can afford electric lights, advertising on benches, and a negro servant with a spiffy bow-tie. They probably just want the water flowing through so that they'll get more money when they sell to Mars, Incorporated.

Oh, and without the money from the factory, males will be forced to wear hand-me-down female costumes and females will be forced to wear hand-me-down male costumes. Even those children wouldn't dare endanger their souls and the town in such a fashion.

"Mom always made Halloween the most special night of the year. She always half-assed her way through our birthdays and Christmases, but she really went all out for Halloween."

"This costume has mom in it! I used her skin to make the mask."

I like how vehicular manslaughter is just a throwaway concept in this thing and how one of the aliens looks like a Furby Spice Navigator.

"Mom used to tell us if you throw a stone in the lake..." and then I started laughing.

Rhea Perlman was an early 90s CGI alien
