Out of all of the episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, whether British or American, this episode might be my favorite.

He did. He explained that what matters to him is having a restaurant and feeling good about himself, not improving his restaurant and being a good cook. So Ramsey realized that his advise wasn't wanted or needed.

Of course that's definitely a case of winning the battle and losing the war.

Cooking frozen pizza dough in a restaurant isn't a problem for a guy whose aspiration is to sell frozen pizzas to supermarkets.

This is so much better with the context of the whole episode.

The owner doesn't want to have any food that requires fresh ingredients or skill because it makes it more difficult to franchise.

The staff is pretty awesome though.

There are some many "fancy" restaurants out there being run by fools like this guy. Douchebags with huge egos and little to no cooking skills. I can only imagine how many dozens of restaurants are in a similar state.

I get the impression that this guy isn't really Italian.

Calm down Gordon, it's just a bit of dinner.

It must feel odd to be the living embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Five stars for Gordon cupping his hands over his mouth for emphasis and shouting as if from a great distance.

I don't think Gordon got through to him.

For his sake, I hope nobody ever gets through to him.

What's always infuriating about this show is how long it takes these chefs to get a fucking clue and realize he is trying to help them out.

This guy only has his restaurant because his wife makes 300k a year and supports him.
