You might think that the Xerox Alto UI was really incredible, given that in 40 years nobody's had the balls to change it. You'd be wrong.
regarding part 2: The services menu is awesome. One of a few Mac features that I really miss when I'm on another platform.
I really need to start using the services menu more often. It seems genuinely useful but I never remember its existence until after I've done some complex stupidity requiring lots of copy-paste or snippet dragging or whatever.
