I used to think skaters sort of deserved this shit until, for a few years, I knew a lot of skate kids and went to their shows and even helped film some tricks and shit. Skaters, hands down, are the most unreasonably abused and shitted-on segment of the youth population. I don't know what it is that drives people insane about skaters, but holy fuck you would not believe the shit I saw and experienced when I started hanging out with some. I saw grown men up and punch kids for nothing other than skating by them on a sidewalk. I saw one kid get seriously injured after some dickless fuck stole his skateboard from him and then hit him across the face with it...the kid was just skating around a public park, not even doing tricks. Yeah, a lot of skaters are just dumb, punk kids, but holy shit...you would not imagine the level of abuse they take from people in general.
