You would think that Bill, of all people, would at least be aware of Phobos and Deimos.

dr_mr_vandertramps - 2011-01-30

beautiful.

blood_visions - 2011-01-29

no amount of scientific reason would convince bill of where things come from. Though he would never answer the question where did God come from? Too much facepalmin

Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-29

Ah, a right wing pundit using the ole "God did it" cop-out when they trace back science to the point that if they use any more scientific logic, they will be treading on territory they've been brainwashed to believe is evil. Science says the moon affects tides but you aren't brave enough to continue down the path of logic back to the origin of the universe so the way to relieve them of complex thought is to say God did it.

This seems to carry over to Billy O's political ideas. I remember him calling Geraldo an anarchist over a disagreement.

StanleyPain - 2011-01-29

What was super awesome about the whole Geraldo vs. OReilly thing is that Geraldo is just as much as neo-con douchebag as OReilly is, just not when it comes to hispanics.

Syd Midnight - 2011-01-29

Be fun seeing him try to pass an 8th grade science quiz .

boner - 2011-01-29

Fucking hell. Like, the first chapter of every popular book on evolution tells you why it's not luck.

"Can you explain it to me?"

Yes, we can. And have. But we'd make better progress if you took your fingers out of your ears.

fluffy - 2011-01-29

I rolled my eyes so hard that I think I sprained a muscle.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2011-01-29

HOLD ON SIR, LET ME CONSULT THE BIBLE

FABIO - 2011-01-29

The ONLY point that should ever be brought up in the evolution debate should always be "How does believing it prevent you from being a good person?"

Bort - 2011-01-30

Being a good person doesn't factor into it; obeying the Bible does, at least for the sort of person who feels that evolutionary theory is a Satanic plot.

O'Reilly is a Catholic, of course, and the Catholic Church defers to science when it comes to natural phenomena; it doesn't hold that evolution is correct but it doesn't hold that it's incorrect either, only that it's basically compatible with Catholicism. Which I suppose is fair; the Pope doesn't take any stands either way on thermodynamics, nor should he. Anyway, what I'm getting at is, any nun at a Catholic high school would strike O'Reilly with a ruler for being such a poor student.

Corpus Delectable - 2011-01-30

How did these five stars get here? They're for the finest example of the Dunning-Kruger effect I've ever seen, and its consequent infinite smugness.

But how did that trifecta of incompetence, obliviousness and smugness get there? Explain that to me. You can't. Chance? How'd it get there.

I forgot my point, pinheads.

pastorofmuppets - 2011-01-30

You forgot "ignorance of the anthropic principle," you pinhead.

phalsebob - 2011-01-30

OH GOD OPEN A FUCKING HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE TEXT FUCK YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE ME AN ANEURYSM!

Oscar Wildcat - 2011-01-30

BWAHAHAHA!!

5 stars for our white trash Thomas Aquinas.
