Spitting on the grave of MASH

Here's the debate:
Worse or better than Trapper John MD?

Billy the Poet - 2011-02-13

Why did they have Kilnger back in drag? They had killed that joke before the end of the original series.

FABIO - 2011-02-13

Wasn't the whole point that he wanted to be shipped home?

StanleyPain - 2011-02-13

Better yet, at the end of MASH he elects to stay in Korea since he has a Korean wife.
OH TELEVISION, WILL YOU EVER LEARN.

BHWW - 2011-02-13

From what I understand, Klinger and his Korean wife relocated to the States in AfterMASH, where he proceeded to behave like a low-rent Ralph Kramden clone, all "No wife o' mines gonna get a job!"

FABIO - 2011-02-13

It was based on the Korean War, so everyone forgot it.

baleen - 2011-02-13

I had forgotten about this show entirely, except a vague childhood feeling that Radar was all messed up and not as funny as in the original MASH.

cognitivedissonance - 2011-02-14

I grew up not knowing that Radar O'Reilly wasn't actually my grandfather, because I had a picture of him from the Korean war and it looked exactly like the same person.

I also had difficulties with Jesus and Abraham Lincoln.

This is the music that plays in Satan's waiting room.

If they just could have re-tooled that opening sequence one more time, it could have really caught on.
