I think I remember this episode; that was supposedly guacamole in the grease gun and they were trying to scare people away from something or some hair-brained scheme? 5 stars for Tale Spin fetishes, eww.
I never gave Tailspin any thought as a kid. It was a thoroughly mediocre-bad show, for fuck's sake; the only thing that stood out at all was it inexplicably peopled by Jungle Book characters.
Why it is the subject of so many internet fetishists has always puzzled me.
I was a big fan of the show as a kid and subsequently when I went online for the first time, how I discovered the existence of furries. Totally ruined it for me.
I can't believe I remember this, but the context of the episode was something like they both used an army dog dude to get even with each other after Baloo tried to get out of work so they faked Rebecca's death by tiki Martian.
That makes so little sense to me as I type it.
Oh, and from what I remember about the fandom there were a number of people obsessed with tickling and at least two people who would openly bring up Talespin on the bus with whoever they could to spread word about it being the best show ever. Just randomly bringing up cartoon bears. (I remember those websites from Portal of Evil red days but don't remember the names of them)
Sort of makes me nostalgic for thoe old PoE exhibits dealing with people whose crazy, fetishist obessessions revolved around Disney Afternoon cartoons. The ones devoted to Tale Spin were pretty disturbing.
