Dante's inferno was a desperate attempt to co-opt the respectability of a poem that, let's face it, nobody involved in the production of the game had ever read. That game wanted so badly to be taken seriously despite looking like something a 14-year-old might come up with if he was in a serious rush.
This more looks like Evil Dead crossed with The Frogs. That doesn't mean it's going to be any better but the stylistic implications are way different.
