I'll take no moral barometer over one that tells you to persecute and/or kill people because an old book told you to.

charmlessman - 2011-03-10

Simple minded fella. Family Feud is as good as it'll ever get for him.

Corpus Delectable - 2011-03-10

Indeed. It's fascinating how he can pontificate so confidently about something he clearly knows nothing about.

Also, "moral barometer?" Like, it tells you that a moral low pressure center is coming?

charmlessman - 2011-03-10

There's a moral front on the way, and it'll bring moral showers and moral thunder storms.

Bindar_Dundat - 2011-03-10

"... Pretty much everywhere, it's gonna be blasphemous."

citrusmirakel - 2011-03-10

Then I won't need a crucifix!

I'm not even going to watch the video.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-03-14

I LOVE YOU ALL

Anaxagoras - 2011-03-10

It's true. Every time I think "There is no God", I rape another gerbil. I can't help it.

OhYouMeanNancy - 2011-03-10

...And I hold its tiny feet.

But seriously- "Will that which I do harm my fellow man undeservedly? Has this person harmed another?" How hard is THAT, Harvey? You need admonishment from On High to keep you from doing just that? Good, god, you're weak.

Xenocide - 2011-03-10

Why is Steve Harvey famous? He has never done anything that even looked like it was trying to be entertainment.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-03-10

You can say the same thing about Charlie Sheen.

StanleyPain - 2011-03-10

In the last few years he's opted to become yet another the endless parade of cult-leader like "self help" authors in this country whose only actual qualifications for offering any sort of advice is that they're sort of famous so therefore they must know what they're talking about. He put out a Dr. Phil-esque book about relationships that contained the usual simplistic, pap garbage that passes for zen-master-like pearls of wisdom to the Oprah-addled women of America and now he's the latest, hip purveyor of bullshit.
AND HE GOT A RELAYSHUNSHIP WIT DA LORD SO DUN BE FRONTIN'

Toenails - 2011-03-10

You can say the same thing about about Fran Drescher.

Cyberblah - 2011-03-10

Charlie Sheen was in Young Guns.

phalsebob - 2011-03-10

Charlie Sheen was in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Can there be anything else at the top of his CV?

Mother_Puncher - 2011-03-10

He also ruined Spin City. I guess that would take talent though.

Robin Kestrel - 2011-03-10

He's a decent game-show host, but that clip just makes him look ignorant.

CharlesSmith - 2011-03-10

It's not the clip that's making this guy look ignorant. He didn't really need help from a clip anyway.

pastorofmuppets - 2011-03-10

morality was invented in the bronze age and hasn't changed since then

heyitslozeau - 2011-03-10

There was about 1.5 people that clapped in agreement, which quite frankly is impressive for the crowd I'd expect of Tyra.

Sputum - 2011-03-10

Yeah, that was a really awkward reaction from the audience. Even Tyra looked uncomfortable, but then again that was probably because of all the bleach on her teeth.

Severian - 2011-03-10

God diggedy damn

fourthguy - 2011-03-10

"oh yeah well if you don't believe in god well then HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S RIGHT OR WRONG THEN HUH?????"

Oh look, it's this argument again.

nocash - 2011-03-10

FUCK STEVE HARVEY

FREE EARL

kingarthur - 2011-03-10

Odd Future FTW!

kingofthenothing - 2011-03-10

Yeah, morality from a wifebeater and adulterer who abandons his kids. Right. Tell us another one.

spikestoyiu - 2011-03-11

This is all that really needs to be said. This dude is a human piece of shit, bible or no bible.

IrishWhiskey - 2011-07-18

No you see, an atheist who beats his wife faces no consequences other personal remorse, damages relations and the law.

Whereas Steve Harvey, as a Christian, has to apologize to God and promise to obey him (as he does weekly anyway), in order to free himself of remorse, guilt his wife and others into forgiving him and be rewarded with eternal bless!

Wait, that sounds wrong.

Spit Spingola - 2011-03-10

Didn't Bush say something like this during his campaign? Anyway, this is not surprising. It's not cool at all, but lots of people think like this. Maybe a majority of religious people in this country? They think they're not going to hell.

I only started paying attention to Steve Harvey after those great Family Feud clips, which are hilarious because of his overreactions. His whole career outside of comedy is kind of disturbing though. He's kind of like Victoria Jackson. They're not just good actors.

glasseye - 2011-03-11

George H. W. Bush was the one that said atheists shouldn't be allowed to be US citizens.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-03-14

Tyra's Brain: "Shit I don't know, just laugh and nod, fuck I don't want to deal with this God stuff, I am getting my nails done after this."

IrishWhiskey - 2011-07-18

The Bible explicitly condoned slavery, and the beating of slaves in the New and Old Testament. It's no longer moral only because we substituted our own reason and judgement for that of the Bible.

And yet this ignorant motherfucker STILL can't figure it out.

OxygenThief - 2012-09-07

This bastion of morality has been married three times.
