Just imagine how much happier your bird would be if it had been born into the wild and got to live among it's own kind, never caged at night.

he was bred in captivity and would die pretty quickly in the wild. we don't even keep his cage closed most of the time and he comes outside with me cageless, perfectly happy to sit on my shoulder and makes no attempt to fly away or anything. when he sits on my shoulder he picks through my hair looking for mites because he's bonded to humans, not other birds. he can whistle the andy griffith theme song and loves bananas.

read as, he's perfectly happy and lucky to not have to worry about predators, finding food, or sickness from bad hygiene. he showers in my shower and gets his nails manicured once a month. so i guess what im trying to say is Jasper says fuck you, muffinbutt.

He was bred in captivity because there's a market for people to buy them. And I'm not saying he's unhappy, I'm saying you can't see wild birds and ever for a moment think they'd be better off as pets.
