Black JFK will always get 5 stars.

spikestoyiu - 2011-04-05

I saw this in an actual movie theater... somehow.

Dicknuts - 2011-04-05

Me too. One that served beer at that.

nidan - 2011-04-05

Hey, me too! Was it the Parkway (RIP)?

Toenails - 2011-04-06

I saw it at the Liberty Hall in Lawerence... unfortunately, out of the two screens they have there, I had to see it at the one that wasn't near their bar.

Dicknuts - 2011-04-06

Liberty Hall. This is creepy.

Toenails - 2011-04-06

I figured you were at Liberty Hall, because I remember you saying you were from Kansas, and I can't think of another place in the state that would show indy flicks, much less serve drinks. KCK, maybe?

Rovin - 2011-04-06

There used to be a theater on the east side of Wichita on Kellogg called The Premiere Palace that played a lot of the indie stuff, but eventually it closed down (It was one of Bill Warren's theaters, but was scuzzier like his other budget sencond-run theaters in the city). I saw Feast, Proof, Night Watch, and some other low-circulation flicks there. They had the first year of After Dark's eight films to die for there.

It wouldn't have closed much after that that horrorfest. Now it's a church.

retrocious - 2011-04-06

I too saw this in an actual theater. One thing I remember was a fellow film-goer explaining to the girl behind the counter the exact ratio of Fanta to Mountain Dew he wanted in his soda.

Buggerman - 2011-04-05

This was great movie right up until the last half hour or so. Its like they ran into budget or time restrictions.

FABIO - 2011-04-05

Really? I remember the first half was entirely Bruce Campbell talking about a cyst on his penis.

Cena_mark - 2011-04-06

I find the movie to be well paced. It seemed a bit slow the first time, but it gets better with repeated viewings.

Rovin - 2011-04-06

Bubba Ho-Tep isn't a movie about elderly Elvis fighting a mummy, most of it is a character sketch ABOUT an elderly Elvis that, at some point, happens to HAVE a mummy. It's more a sort of examination of societal attitudes toward the elderly via absurd premise.

Riskbreaker - 2011-04-05

I'm surprised this trailer was not here before.

Rovin - 2011-04-05

This movie is Godly. Now if Don Coscarelli could finalize his Phantasm series in grandiose style...

StanleyPain - 2011-04-05

I thought Oblivion was the last one, yes?

Rovin - 2011-04-05

There was supposed to be one after it, Phantasm's End, that would have been set in a plague-riddled future where the Tall Man rules and Reggie, Mike, and some character Campbell was cast to play would finally have to save the world. Oblivion wasn't their first choice, but it was an inexpensive stop-gap while they hoped to raise the 4 million or so they needed for Phantasm's End (and they still couldn't get it, sadly).

StanleyPain - 2011-04-05

I never knew that. Not that I have a problem with the idea of more Phantasm, I just thought Oblivion sort of ended on a great final note.

Jack Dalton - 2011-04-05

I loved this movie, and I find it amazing that it actually exists.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2011-04-05

ASSHOLES! AAAASSHOOOLES!

Pillager - 2011-04-05

"They painted me this color"

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-04-06

Now if I could get the DVD back from my evil Ex-girlfriend.

chumbucket - 2011-04-06

still have not seen this movie, 5 stars for continuing to entertain me with just the trailer

The Mothership - 2021-12-18

This is a madly underrated movie.
