Shareware week anyone?

James Woods - 2011-04-24

Oh fun! Yes please!

Old_Zircon - 2011-04-24

Specifically 90s shareware week!

spiteful crow - 2011-04-24

I can definitely get behind this.

hammsangwich - 2011-04-24

Did anyone else ever order game floppies from a shareware catalog?

erratic - 2011-04-24

I used to live for that shareware catalog to show up. I'd plot for weeks how to get as many games as possible with my meager allowance. They'd finally be delivered and I'd play through disappointing shlock games for a few hours until I got bored. then do it all again next month!

cognitivedissonance - 2011-04-25

I, too, loved that Shareware catalogue.

My favorite Shareware memory is when my BRIGHT ORANGE floppy for Commander Keen Episode 2 arrived, and it had never once occurred to me in all my life that a floppy could be any color other than black.

We had a "500 Great Games!" CD that everyone seemed to have, and this was sadly not on it.

"Skunny: Save Our Pizza," however, was. Which means Copysoft tried to mascot this guy.

Experience disorientation while sprites animate in stunningly realistic 4 frames a second!

CuteLucca - 2011-04-24

Where in Australia does Track 4 take place?

StanleyPain - 2011-04-24

Australia.

Redlof - 2011-04-24

Pointless fact: the source code for this game was stolen almost entirely from the Apogee game Wacky Wheels.

delicatessen - 2011-04-24

The company IS called CopySoft.

erratic - 2011-04-24

Never played this, but 5 for Wacky Wheels. Always prefered it over mario kart any day

Potrod - 2011-04-24

I was gonna say, I thought I remembered downloading this on AOL but I guess it was Wacky Wheels. That said, I don't know how anybody could think it's anywhere close to Mario Kart.

This isn't a bad game, it rocked and I played the SHIT out of it with my bros when I was a kid.

Nominal - 2022-09-24

I came back 10 years later to tell you how useless and wrong you are.

Supahfly - 2011-04-24

Awesome. Is that Bart Simpson in the battle game?
