This is why Poe red died.

pressed peanut sweepings - 2011-04-26

I wish I knew what Poe red was.

baleen - 2011-04-26

It is the Old Testament of poe.

pressed peanut sweepings - 2011-04-26

www.portalofevil.com was the first site spawned by Thor and Chet after Old Man Murray. It is now defunct after a very very long stint as being the center of horrible, vial and awful things. A museum of the worst the internet had to offer. Most of its usership moved to Poe-news, where they talk about news and insult each other about the news, or they engage in enigmatic creative writing rituals. Sometimes they create interesting artworks or particularly brilliant posts, but that requires a lot of wading. And waiting. And time. Poetv is the retarded cousin of poe-news, where people come to play and frolic and forget. Wickedsmallgames is the doddering uncle who drools on himself and forgets things. Poe Sports is a piece of roadkill, maybe a possum, it's hard to tell because it's so old and dead, and then there's the forced shopping endeavor that Chet created that I can't remember the name of. It recommended that I buy some things on ebay.

tl;dr, but 5 stars for poe red.

It's odd to think of the times I used to consider POEn and POEtv a sort of sidebar to portal of evil.

I think baleen is thinking of Bid Boy.

Doomstein - 2011-04-27

Bidboy only sold 'haunted glass eyes that probably belonged to ghosts', and regular dumpster trash/dentures labled as spooky or unique.

baleen - 2011-04-28

Yeah, bidboy, that's the one.

teenage mutant lisa turtle - 2011-04-29

btw my tl;dr was directed at the video and not the post, dammit now everyone (still) thinks I can't read an entire paragraph

This fills in a lot of blanks I had about this guy when I saw him on DS but was too busy/forgetful to buy his books.

dueserpenti - 2011-04-27

That was fun. I'll have to read his book to see how he deals with a theodicy more robust than Job's "Because I'm bigger than you!" justification.

pastorofmuppets - 2011-04-27

Job is sadly advanced when you consider that when something bad happens to you, many people will just assume that you somehow deserved it. Maybe we just need another 4000 years before that gets fixed.
