Is this show still good without the extra editing because from what i've seen here on the poetvs it's got to be the greatest cartoon on television.

IrishWhiskey - 2011-05-01

I've long since been disabused of the idea that kids shows can't be great for adults. Shows like Adventure Time, Avatar and Samurai Jack are at least as good as anything on primetime, let alone the classics like Rocko and Batman. I even unironically enjoyed the Powerpuff Girls.

Yet I can't watch this show. I fear I might enjoy it, and end up on some sort of register.

Mancakes - 2011-05-01

It's alright, but there are obnoxiously vocal people for it, and even louder people calling those people pedophiles.

MyNameIsUnimportant - 2011-05-01

The pink pony is essentially the "Deadpool" of the show, running around making goofy self-aware wisecracks while everyone else is trying to be serious.

When the episode centers on her, the writers crank the insanity up to eleven, with delightful results as you can see.

Xenocide - 2011-05-01

I've given up on trying to resist this show. It's hilarious, and there's an overwhelming sense that everyone involved loves what they are doing.

eatenmyeyes - 2011-05-01

The Onion AV Club did a review recently. I would advise you to read it.

Aoi - 2011-05-01

Frankly, this scene was better without the edited-in music.

So, yes.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-05-01

Stop making up excuses for yourself and just watch the damn show already.

Cena_mark - 2011-05-02

Damn y'all so gay. Looks like I got one up on you guys. Well actually I got more than this, but still.

Chalkdust - 2011-05-02

As I understand, this is pretty much the exact opposite of edited-in music. The uploader has been taking clips from the show and working as best they can to edit everything else out in order to highlight the original score.

Corman's Inferno - 2011-05-02

Says the man named after an oiled-up bodybuilder in tights. I bet you would enjoy Pinkie Pie if Vince McMahon came up with a bland story arc for her.

I dig the little Ren and Stimpyish backgrounds that flash when Pinkie's eyes start twitching.

Cena_mark - 2011-05-02

Back when I was a kid in the 80s all boys who liked My Little Pony would grow up gay. This quirkier packaging doesn't change what it is.

Jericho - 2011-05-02

cena is right mates. you're all basically faggots of the highest order. ;____;

eatenmyeyes - 2011-05-02

Jericho, you have already done enough to prove that you are worthless. We believe you. Your evidence is clear and convincing.

The real question is: What's next on your agenda? Learn to sail? Take rock climbing lessons? Read something by Edward Gibbon?

My recommendation: Put a gun in your mouth.

Jericho - 2011-05-02

no. I won't let him insult my baby tv show. NO. NO. DARNELL GET IN THE CAR

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-05-04

Sooner or later, you're going to watch this show and you're going to end up liking it.

Jericho - 2011-05-24

afraid i already have, much to my chagrin.

Billy the Poet - 2011-05-01

Oh my God WHAT'S IN THE BAG?

Mancakes - 2011-05-01

Gelatin powder.

Merzbau - 2011-05-01

have you ever seen Audition

Seris - 2011-05-01

is this the pony that was based off some anonymous's fanpony?

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-05-01

The original scene is reminiscent of Ash's mental breakdown in Evil Dead 2, only with much less blood and slightly more ponies.

Tom Collins - 2011-05-02

Didn't this happen every week on Dexter's Lab and Ren & Stimpy?

tamago - 2011-05-27

Pinkie Pie is absolutely frightening for several reasons:

- She can keep up with Rainbow Dash even when Rainbow is going at full speed and Pinkie is going about a quarter of that speed ala Jason and his victims that at least try to run.

- Danger doesn't phase her. She just laughs at it.

- She can appear in mirrors.

- Her constant fourth wall breakage.

- She can fit into impossible spaces.

Also, this show has some of the best voice-overs and sound effects ever. Case in point, the squeak when Pinkie's hair goes back to being permed at the end of this episode.
