The first and only time I'm aware that the term entered the popular lexicon was after its usage on Beavis and Butthead quite soon after it first aired in the early 90's. It may have been already in common usage among young metalheads prior to this, which likely inspired Judge accordingly. Another even more baffling instance is Orgazmo which gave us "choda" as in the alter-ego character "Choda Boy". Does this imply that this dude has a dick like a chode? It could even be alluding to chowder, as in "man-chowder".
Honestly speaking, if you want to pick apart gossamer don't expect to find much.
