She tries to grab him but he knocks her hand away. "No mom! I'm over this. I hate you and I wish I was never born!" There is a moment of silence that seemed to last forever. "You can't mean that. You can't. You're my son and I love you. This is al that whore's fault! I should have never let you date! I should have home-schooled you like a god mother!" She storms out th door with her walking stick she tok with her to climb volcanoes in Hawaii with. "Where are you going?" he asks. "I'm going to save my baby" and she peels out of the driveway. Kid ges on his bicycle and kicks the training wheels off. He follows her for a few miles until she stops at a large house at the edge of town. It's his girlfriend's house. His mother storms in, not noticing her son tagging along behind her. He can hear some arguing inside. He looks through the window to see his mother interupting a family dinner. The father stands to protest her entering unannounced but is struck with the walking stick. The only other person at thetable is his girlfriend. His mother swings at her, screaming "YOU STOLE MY SON!" The boy enters the house and begs this to stop but it's too late. His mother claims it's for his own good. She raises the stick for the deathblow. She hesitates for a moment and then falls to the floor. In her back is a hole the size of a medium avacodo and in her son's hand is a raw, organic unpeeled carrot.
