You know, I can't at all remember this comic aside from the first 2 panels and I totally can't remember Slowpoke being in there but I've seen this comic with the Slowpoke before (not on his site) and I always wonder if it was shopped in or if Buckley put it there. Neither surprises me, of course.

Most of the miscarriage edits was one of the best memes the internet has scraped together

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-05-27

The best thing to come out of this comic is the tidal wave of edits and parodies the miscarriage comic inspired.

Perfect song choice.

Screwtape - 2011-05-28

?

Goofy Gorilla - 2011-05-28

You win

Cyberblah - 2011-05-28

Slowpoke is slow

This storyline is a perfect example of how inept most comedic webcomic creators are when they attempt to produce dramatic storylines that are supposed to tug at the heartstrings of the audience. You the reader being asked to care, to be moved by one-dimensional characters, by flat, lifeless drawings trying to imply flat, lifeless emotions.

It's especially egregious in CAD's case, as it's a poorly written, lazily drawn shitfest, created by an egotistical jackass.
CAD's only relevance to webcomics and sole reason for it's readership keeping up with it is that it's been around for a while and managed to leech off a market who were happy to read a Penny Arcade wannabe because they needed to see the same jokes done worse elsewhere so they don't have to leave the internet for another minute a day. There is no real reason for it to exist. It merely fills a gap that could be occupied by any number of bland-at-best gaming comics that basically make the same jokes with a very similar cast, the only difference being that it was there earlyish in the game and is "established".

Ah, so it is the "For Better or for Worse" of webcomics.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-05-28

CAD would be completely forgettable if not for its creator being a particularly vile person.

Gwago - 2011-05-28

This is literally half credits.

Lurchi - 2011-05-28

Now I almost miss Encyclopedia Dramatica

flotsam - 2011-05-28

It's not dead, it's just encyclopediadramatica.ch now.

spiteful crow - 2011-05-28

Loses a couple stars for the credits being too damn long, but gains one back due to Nickleback being the perfect soundtrack to the whole CADbortion storyline. And Slowpoke.

spiteful crow - 2011-05-28

...oh wait, that's Creed.

My point still stands, though.

spikestoyiu - 2011-05-28

Have you ever seen both of those bands in the same room at the same time?

Think about it.

Nikon - 2011-05-28

I'm in total agreement with Mr. Crow.

themilkshark - 2011-05-28

This is making me love webcomics in a whole new way

Vaidency - 2011-05-28

Presented with something as hilariously tasteless as the CAD miscarriage debacle and the best thing we have to ridicule it is a recycled pokemon joke from 4chan?

Syd Midnight - 2011-05-31

Yeah, the reason it was a good meme is there were so many comedy edits that you could enjoy the cream of the crop. This isn't the cream.

fatatty - 2011-05-28

It's funny because the whole comic is a miscarriage!
