After watching them all recently, having heard of that on the wiki for the show, I'm pretty sure it's Jeremy Clarkson or Jimmy Carr. They consistently have almost-too-good jokes.

I'd vote Clarkson. Jimmy Carr is known for his improvisation, and if anything he answers fewer questions correctly than many other guests. The "smarties tubes on cats legs" was simply a result of his nicking extra pieces and discarding those he didn't need.

I'd heard they provide all guests (except Alan) with a general list of subjects covered on the show beforehand anyway. Though that could be false.

I'd vote for Clarkson as well. I've watched all the episodes, and his seem somewhat...predictable.

I've been convinced that they get some of the questions beforehand, because most of the guests are so ready with stories and jokes. But seeing the answers beforehand goes a bit too far.

You did mean answers, right? Not questions?

Fry stated that he knows that one guest gets the questions and answers ahead of time for joke writing in advance, and that he has been annoyed by this habit multiple times.

Also, the sexual tension between Fry and Brydon is utterly palpable, and obviously Brydon knows Fry wants him and bad.
