I'm going to boycott this game due to the devs choosing to focus on the land of the Nords rather than going to Kittyland next. Which is more interesting: a fake viking who doesn't have boats or wear shirts and lives in the frigid north or a fucking TALKING CAT who likes drugs and sells them across a magical empire? Clearly the developers are racist against Khajit and will not receive a penny from me until they stop treating the Khajit as second class (computerized) citizens.

poorwill - 2011-06-11 It is, but it makes large use of procedural generation and it is literally a sandbox game - the world is the gameplay (unless you want to play the boring stupid missions). Not in every game is the content and the form so intertwined. Still, I'd rather play JC2 than anything Bethesda poots out so point noted.

As much as I am looking forward to Skyrim and have no doubt it will be fun, I have to give Bethesda some point deductions for showing the same footage at every single public event during E3. This is the longest clip, but the first 7 minutes of it is the SAME supposed "HEY LOOK AT ME PLAYING THE GAME" thing they showed at least 2 other times with different media outlets, both times with the dev guy pretending he was actually playing the game in real time.

Looks like Oblivion with a decent graphical upgrade, the only thing I hope Bethesda learned is to optimize this game for the fucking PC so it doesn't stutter like crap until the community decides to fix it themselves.
That aside, I kind of have a soft spot for the elder scrolls, it goes all the way back to my mid teens when I played Arena and then came across a demo of Daggerfall.
I can't say it doesn't bother me when a bunch of people who weren't even aware of how awesome Daggerfall was back in the mid/late 90s are now talking like they know shit about the elder scrolls.
Back in the day we didn't just have square miles of terrain, NO, no we had an entire continent sucka, what do they know about that? Shit.
Also, regarding the tag, either you're being a smarty pants about how people were outraged that Fallout 3 was going to be "oblivion with guns", or you just went full newfag.
