Did a guy from the Howard Stern show just call this guy a pervert? For a little Facebook jerking off?

Still can't decide if I feel bad for Weiner or not. I don't think I've ever seen a politician humiliated this bad but I keep going back to how dumb he was. Normal affairs would have been a lot safer.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-06-21

Howard Stern's response here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/shaneomtl3#p/u/1/Lk0WnGjGkKc

Apparently Benjy was not the one who called him a pervert but the rest of it shocked Howard. Basically Benji is an idiot.

fatatty - 2011-06-22

I'm pretty sure Larry "Airport Blowjob" Craig was probably a bit more embarrassed by his scandal than Weiner.

Weiner just has the distinction of the most ironic sex scandal ever thanks to his name.

I have to say I find it hard not to pity any man whose reputation and career is crushed so swiftly in a very public examination of his sex life. But when it comes to anti-gay closeted gays like Craig or love child campaign defrauders like Edwards I have little sympathy.

StanleyPain - 2011-06-17

While this bullshit was going on, Nancy Pelosi was trying to have a serious press conference about creating jobs, but hey FUCK THAT I want to about this guy's dick some more!

(and yes, the first question Pelosi was asked was not about the job creation plan, but about Weiner)

Cena_mark - 2011-06-17

5 Stars for that comment. Nancy Pelosi creating jobs? Absurd humor at its best.

Chalkdust - 2011-06-17

how many jobs bills has the 112th congress voted on so far? not even passed, but simply voted on? oh, zero? okay

Cena_mark - 2011-06-17

Lets just say the Democrats lost more jobs.

kwash - 2011-06-17

If you honestly think one party is responsible for the current job market, you are delusional.

fatatty - 2011-06-22

I dunno how many times you can show this graph without conservatives getting it but here goes again:

Say it ain't so... Did he do something actually horrible? Like sexually harass people? Or rape them? Or make them feel uncomfortable at work because of sex? If not, I don't care.

Cena_mark - 2011-06-17

He initially didn't do anything horrible, but then he lied to the public. He violated our trust.

Explodotron - 2011-06-17

So you trusted him to begin with?

FABIO - 2011-06-17

"It's not that what he did had any bearing whatsoever, it's that he LIED about it!"

I'm not going to pretend I know about behind the scenes politics, but why should he resign? What possible repercussions to himself and the Democratic party as a whole could come about if he stayed? Do his constituents care enough that they'd swing Republican? Would fallout seriously carry over to Democratic candidates in other elections? Assuming the last two are true, would resigning really erase that stain and repair the damage?

FABIO - 2011-06-17

You know, because the whole thing reeks of the status quo wanting to find any excuse to excise an outspoken politician calling out all the bullshit.

kingarthur - 2011-06-17

Exactly this, FABIO.

Cena_mark - 2011-06-17

Right FLABIO, because the same thing wouldn't have happened to a Republican caught in a similar pickle. (pun intended)

memedumpster - 2011-06-17

Republicans fuck underaged intern boys constantly and no one cares. It's a God given right.

I think a lot of the outrage comes from Weiner pretty much showing what Democrats would rather do than fix the country. I can easily imagine all of them ignoring everything and jerking off on the Internet.

FABIO - 2011-06-17

Possibly because a good chunk of the Republican platform is their fascist espousing of "family values"? It's the hypocrisy that people care about. Nobody but hateful reactionaries truly gives a fuck where politicians put their Weiner, just like nobody would care if Rush had only been caught with illegal painkiller instead of being caught AFTER advocated mandatory life sentences for drug users.

This is also not taking into account that it's fellow Republicans who tear apart their own kind when caught in a sex scandal. What the fuck is this "it's only fair that it happen to you too" garbage? Don't lump me into the goings on of your shrieking party of demagogues.

and jesus christ, "FLABIO?" You couldn't even make the stretch to FLABBY-O? Glenn Beck is a better rodeo clown than you.

grimcity - 2011-06-17

Yeah Cena, like all the repercussions that one of my senators (Vitter) got for actually breaking the l... err... "sinning."

Hypocrite fucktards.

baleen - 2011-06-18

LOL you intended to use a pickle pun! god I had you all wrong. come here you

fatatty - 2011-06-22

He was actually fairly unpopular with a lot of party machine Democrats who he called out for cow towing to corporations and Republicans, and any egotistical politician was certainly not happy with his ability to steal the spotlight.

Note how differently the mainstream Democrats reacted to Charlie Rangel's actual scandals.
