Holiday-themed riffs are usually their best stuff.

Are the guys getting angrier as they get older? Compared to MST3k, where they almost always sounded bemused and jovial (unless the movies were really shit), they sound positively furious for some reason. An entire life sitting in front of bad movies taking its toll perhaps?

This movie was uniquely terrible and was probably made it a challenge to sit through once, and they have to watch these things multiple times in order to come up with their commentary. I don't think there's a single person in the world who wouldn't start spitting venom at this movie after the 1st viewing, let alone the 3rd or 4th.

A lot of the old MST3K movies had charm and were even on the verge of quality. I look at "Girl in Gold Boots", and I notice that the whole movie is driven by character as established early on (Michelle is idealistic but naive, Buzz is dishonest and reckless, Critter tries to avoid responsibility until it catches up with him) ... George Lucas could learn a thing or ten from Ted V. Mikels.

I really can't imagine anything motivating the creation of this movie other than seething hatred of children.

That and peyote.

I've never laughed so hard at inarticulate grunting and screaming.

Well, except that once.

This little compilation also features one of my favorite lines from the Rifftrax: "It's me, the Ice Cream Bunny! I've got all the flavors from sawdust to Robitussin to backwash."

For a good time, check out producer/director Barry Mahon's IMDB listing.

I see Barry Mahon never got the psychiatric help he so desperately needed.
