Violent Jay would be a super smark. They're the type of wrestling fans who love CM Punk and hate John Cena. CM Punk is a strange case. He's small, not very built, yet he rose to the top because of sheer talent and a small, but dedicated fan base. His fans also keep up with the independents and Japanese wrestling, whereas Cena has been the WWE norm for a long time. This is quite a shake up to the WWE as WWE has been pretty stale for a good while. The very fact that McMahon is going with this story attests to the fact that hopefully McMahon is realizing that he's been taking the business in the wrong direction.
I've hated CM Punk for a long time, but now he's really got my attention.

CM Punk's popularity as a babyface almost matched John Cena's a few years ago. Had WWE kept him a fan favorite he would be the top face of the company, but he's too damn good as a heel and they needed to build him up against Jeff Hardy who was leaving. I wouldn'ty say Punk's fanbase consists only of internet nerds, I've only watched his WWE career and became a fan of his because, simply put, he's a better wrestler and performer than anyone in that company.

What I meant to say was, It started small. I still hate him because he's straight edge. I hate straight edgers because they preach about how bad alcohol is, when its only because they don't understand moderation. Either a straight edger will be completely sober, or they'll be doing meth, that's why they go straight edge.

I don't know any gay men who like wrestling, but I have been told by the most homophobic people I've encountered that they refuse to watch wrestling because they consider it to be incredibly erotic.

I loved wrestling as a kid, I just grew out of it when it lost its golden age and went into the age of mediocrity. I still think it's far less gay than the entire MMA universe, and a lot more fun, honest (not real, but not taking overcompensation seriously either), and less egomaniacal. Also, wrestling fans are generally better people.

I said it thickens because I am imagining you in a gay environment, with gay men, talking about professional wrestling. I imagine it almost as a response to a personal ad. "No, I don't do that," the young male prostitute says, believing that you are suggesting a forceful entry into his rectum, Coast Guard style.

Yeah I don't see the point in this "real" stuff. It's not real and it's kind of dull. Wrestling was better when it was shamelessly ridiculous (and I was ten).
