This was a hard question to answer, and for a moment George was staggered by it, but quickly recovering himself he cried: "I cannot tell a lie, father, you know I cannot tell a lie! I did cut it with my little hatchet.''
With sternness in his voice, his father commanded, "Then you shall work in the coal mines for a shilling a week until you have earned the 6 guineas needed to restore my tree. And recall as you partake of the noxious vapors, that the wicked collectors of the treasury will take tuppence a week, keeping you in the darkness and smoke."
Young George feared for a moment, before responding in wisdom and virtue: "Then I shall outsource the work to one of the black boys, whose feeding costs are only a farthing and whose illness is no concern of mine. He shall do the work, and I shall justly benefit from it as God intended."
The anger died out of his father's face, and taking the boy tenderly in his arms, he said: "Just as long as his kind never becomes President."

Robin Kestrel - 2011-07-29 Right on. The "as God intended" part is especially apt... these guys love the word "heritage". They see the high place they hold in the world as their birthright, and their traditions (real or imagined) as sanctioned from above.
Just the message you want to be giving impressionable young minds before they start thinking for themselves too much.

Hey, they're only trying to supplement the substandard white-washed Eurocentric history classes taught in public schools by teaching kids about *real* American values (I assume like greed, violence, genocide, oppression, war, conformity, sexual repression, materialism, etc. etc).
Gotta balance out the liberal bias of the education system, after all.

Robin Kestrel - 2011-07-30 Sephirock, everything that doesn't have the needle bouncing off the extreme far right of the political spectrum is decried by these folks as being too liberal.
Even John Boehner, who is now apparently the unofficial President of White America, is not a "real conservative", according to these folk.

As much as I hate the Tea Party and as much as all this terrifies me, the video itself wasn't all that scary. A closeted gay man lying to impressionable youths about history is nothing new. Totally evil, but I had to subtract a star. Sorry.
